MWC Webinar: Who benefits from digital vs live mindfulness training?

This debate is free to MWC members.

Dr. Jutta Tobias Mortlock, (Senior Lecturer at City, University of London and Co-Founder of Centre for Excellence in Mindfulness Research (CEMR), will facilitate a fascinating panel discussion with Rasmus Hougaard (Author, Speaker and CEO, The Potential Project) , Chris Tamjidi, (Awaris), and Jolawn Victor, (Chief International Office at Headspace Health), regarding the latest scientific research and evidence surrounding digital vs live mindfulness training.

Hybrid teaching and use of meditation apps for individuals in organisations look to be increasing.

Panel members will be given the opportunity to present evidence to support their perspectives with a view to sharing and learning how these two methods can complement one another

Panel Biographies

Panel Member: Chris Tamdjidi

Chris is Co-Director and Co-Founder of the Awaris GmbH since 2009.
His focus is on mindfulness, enlightened leadership and understanding cause and effect.

Born in 1970, Chris has over 25 years experience in business consulting, leadership development, mindfulness practices and change management.

Facilitator: Jutta Tobias Mortlock, PhD

Jutta is a social psychologist with 25 years of work experience in organisational development and capacity-building in six countries on three continents.

Jutta’s research interest is focused on behaviour change initiatives in workplaces geared at generating sustainable wellbeing and performance, using “third wave” cognitive behavioural approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other evidence-based mindfulness frameworks. She researches and teaches workplace mindfulness and leadership in collaboration with a variety of organisations and is a popular keynote speaker on the link between wellbeing and performance. Jutta serves as advisor to UK thinktank The Mindfulness Initiative and to the US-based mindfulness in education non-profit Inner Explorer.

Panel Member: Jolawn Victor, Chief International Officer at Headspace Health

Jolawn is the Chief International Officer at Headspace Health; a full spectrum digital mental health and wellbeing company, born out of the merger between Headspace and Ginger in 2021. Jolawn leads enterprise sales and marketing around the world (excluding the US and Canada) and is based out of the group’s UK office. Prior to Headspace she led Emerging Markets and Global Expansion for Intuit, where she was responsible for business in over 150 countries outside of the US. She joined Headspace as a product leader in 2020 with eighteen years of engineering, marketing, and innovation experience from the consumer packaged goods industry.
Jolawn previously worked at PepsiCo, where she led the potato chip innovation business on the $3.5B Lay’s brand, launching customer favorites including Lay’s Poppables, Habanero, and Lightly Salted flavors. Her role focused on driving global share and profit growth through crafting a 3-year innovation strategy. Before her time at PepsiCo, Jolawn shoveled Cheerios and stirred Progresso soup for General Mills. She worked as a project engineer, managing small to medium capital projects driving innovation and productivity.
A native of Minneapolis, MN, Jolawn attended Spelman College and Georgia Tech where she graduated from a dual-degree program with BS degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering. Jolawn attended NYU Stern’s School of Business, where she graduated with an MBA with a Marketing concentration in 2009.
