Mindfulness: How to Engage People from Harder-to-Reach Communities

MWC Member, Dr. Georgie Budd (A&E Doctor, inspirational Mindfulness speaker) and Michael Matania (Founder, Tough Cookie) join forces and share how they raise awareness of the benefits of Mindfulness / Mixed Mental Arts™ amongst harder-to-reach communities; underrepresented communities, those with complex needs and those who fall into the poverty-trap.

Georgie Budd is a disabled doctor, clinical fellow in emergency medicine, research assistant in ERST for medical students and blogger on disability issues, empathy, resilience and mindfulness @mymindonwheels.

Michael Matania is the founder of Tough Cookie: A Social Impact Company that supports organisations to prevent burnout in the workplace by training staff in Mixed Mental Arts™. A flagship programme and tookkit of practical techniques that build mental resilience by changing the way people manage their thoughts and emotions in times of change & adversity.
